What's the best way to get to the Factory?

Statton is conveniently located 70 miles west of Baltimore and Washington at the intersection of Interstates 70 and 81. Hagerstown is also within 1½ hours driving distance of three major airports: Baltimore-Washington International, Dulles and Reagan. [Map]

Can we buy featured items before the sale begins?

We regret that we cannot allow any sales prior to the advertised date. We feel it would not be fair to those customers who make special plans to be present. We will however post unsold merchandise on our website for a period of three weeks following the Sale, from May 19, 2008 through June 9, 2008 .

How much do the items cost?

Prices are not posted on our website, however most items will be marked at a minimum of 60% off suggested retail prices. Some items may be discounted even more depending on the condition of the piece, whether or not it's discontinued, a custom piece or a custom finish. Can we drive down and rent a truck to bring back our purchase?

Absolutely. If you would like to call ahead and reserve a truck or trailer for the sale date, the names and numbers of several rental offices are listed below.

What about shipping?

Shipping is not included, but can be arranged if desired. In general, the cost of shipping depends on weight and distance from the factory and whether setup and installation is required ("in-house delivery").

Shipping is arranged on a "freight collect" basis - that is the shipping fee will be collected at the time of delivery. A 3.5% crating charge will also be added for those items shipped by common carrier. Please note that most common carriers do not offer in-house delivery, in which case a transfer and storage company (a local receiver) may have to be contracted with. What if we have our items shipped via common carrier and they arrive damaged?

All items shipped via common carrier are inspected thoroughly prior to packing. Our cartons and packing materials meet and often exceed freight company specifications. Additionally all cartons are crated with wood for additional protection. In the event that damage should occur in transit however, it is the customer's responsibility to file a claim with the responsible carrier in a timely fashion. This usually means within 24 hours of receiving the piece. Statton cannot be responsible for damages occurring once the item leaves the Factory.
